Agreement
These Terms & Conditions govern access to the Stagebrook House LLC website and use of our residential and commercial interior design services. By engaging us, you agree to these terms and the written proposal or service agreement for your project. If engagement-specific terms conflict with these general terms, the signed engagement terms control for that project.
Services, estimates, and changes
Services may include consultation, space planning, design concepts, furniture, lighting, material and finish recommendations, styling, visualization, or documentation as stated in the proposal. Website prices are informational starting or project prices and do not replace a written quote. Final fees and deliverables depend on project size, complexity, information available, revisions, schedule, and scope.
Work outside the confirmed scope requires approval and may change fees or timing. Drawings and visualizations communicate design intent and are not architectural, engineering, permit, construction, or code-compliance documents unless a signed agreement expressly states otherwise and qualified professionals provide the applicable services.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for timely decisions, accurate property information and measurements, lawful access to the site, disclosure of relevant constraints, and review and approval of selections and deliverables. Clients must independently confirm field dimensions and suitability before purchasing, fabrication, installation, or construction. Delayed approvals or changed information may affect schedule and fees.
Purchases, trades, and third parties
Furniture, fixtures, finishes, samples, shipping, installation, contractors, architects, engineers, permits, and other third-party goods or services are separate from design fees unless expressly included. Product availability, dye lots, lead times, shipping, workmanship, site conditions, and third-party performance are outside our control. Clients are responsible for third-party contracts and costs unless an engagement agreement states otherwise.
Fees and payment
Invoices, retainers, milestones, taxes, reimbursable expenses, and payment timing are defined in the written proposal or invoice. Work may be paused for overdue payment. Cancellations, rescheduling, and refund requests are governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy and any signed project terms.
Intellectual property
Stagebrook House retains ownership of its original concepts, drawings, presentations, specifications, templates, and other design materials except where a written agreement states otherwise. Upon full payment, the client may use final deliverables for the property and purpose identified in the engagement. Deliverables may not be reused for another property, resold, altered for construction, or represented as another designer’s work without written permission.
No guaranteed outcome and limitation of liability
Design involves judgment and client preferences. We do not guarantee product availability, contractor performance, permit approval, construction results, property value, business performance, or an exact match between screens, samples, visualizations, and installed materials. To the extent permitted by law, Stagebrook House is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Aggregate liability related to a paid engagement will not exceed fees paid to Stagebrook House for that engagement, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Website use
Website content is general information and does not create a designer-client relationship. You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or copy branding and original content except as permitted by law.
Governing law and contact
